Research On The Murals Of Tang Tomb In Taiyuan

Since 1950 s,the discoveries of the murals of Tang tomb in Taiyuan area have increased constantly.As of now,sixteen tombs that were reported have already formed a rich data accumulation.The murals of Tang tomb in Taiyuan area,especially screen-style murals,receive long-term attention from academia.Related research already pretty rich in quantity and pretty thorough in content.In recent years,the archeological discoveries of the tombs of Helian Shan and Helian Jian were announced just a moment ago.The material of the tomb of Guoxing causes widespread concern.In stimulation of constantly emerging new materials,The murals of Tang tomb in Taiyuan area still have a great research space in painting,arranging and content.In this article,on the basis of full possession materials,the first chapter summarizes the research development of Tang tomb murals in Taiyuan area,explains the research purpose and methods,and finally introduces the archeological findings.In chapter two,I discuss the painting and arranging of murals.Firstly,I discuss the basic link in the process of painting including mud layer,drafting,finalizing,coloring etc.and retouching in the tomb of Helian Shan.Secondly,I study the arranging style of murals.According to the classification of tomb shape and mural content,it is divided into three types,and the style with the largest number and the longer popular time is named "Taiyuan style".The third chapter is the study for screen-style murals.The first part is the study of murals with “man and tree”.Firstly,I do textual research for theme stories that Controversial and not researched.At the same time,aims to discuss the similarities and differences in the forms of the theme murals with similar plots through the classification of the existing murals with “man and tree” during the Tang Dynasty in Taiyuan area.Secondly,I further surmise the application of the model for murals with “man and tree” with different themes.Through observation,I find that the number of models of different theme stories is not the same.There are should be a database for models.At the same time,through the observation and comparison,I summarize the common application methods of the models.The second part is the study for maid picture and blank graph.The fourth chapter is the study for other murals including murals of paved path,the other murals on four walls,murals on the top of tomb,and murals coffin platform.Murals of paved path are rare that only are seen the mud layer in the tomb of Helian Shan.Murals on the top of tomb mainly can be divided into two styles.One is complicated style that composed of knotted flowers,four-spirit pattern,the sun,moon and stars etc.Another is simple style that composed of sun and moon.The other murals on four walls include wooden buildings in the form of murals,the doormen pattern,the servant pattern,the pattern of minority of ethnic in ancient China,camel and horse?the pattern of working?the pattern of oxcart.Overall,the servant pattern is the most early.The combination of pattern of mill and kitchen is late.The time of appearance of the combination camel and horse and the pattern of oxcart should be close to the combination of pattern of mill and kitchen,although it not find tangible year,exist intersection.The fifth chapter discusses the “Taiyuan style” from the aspects of arranging and content,and to some extent restores the process of creation of the murals in this area.And I analyze the background of the emergence of "Taiyuan style" briefly.
