| American graffiti artist Keith Haring is one of the most important figures in the history of graffiti art in the 20 th century.Keith Haring’s graffiti art has a unique artistic language and creative way,and its cultural connotation and symbolic language have important implications for the development of graffiti art.Keith Haring expanded the realm of public art and enriched the language of graffiti art.Keith Haring ’s appeal to free space,attention to social public affairs,and sensitivity to commercial profit-seeking behavior make the connotation of his works rise to the level of public art.Public artistic creation is not only to put individual art in public space,but also to enter daily life in a reasonable way.Through the case study of Case Harlem’s graffiti art,this paper attempts to explore the multi-cultural connotation of his works from the perspective of semiotics,and discuss the contradiction and unity between the publicity and individuation of the works of art. |
