Proclamation(??)is a kind of downward document which aims at spreading government orders.The common words in Institution of the Yuan Dynasty(???)indicate that it plays a vital role in the official operation of the Mongol-Yuan Dynasty.The Proclamation Tablets(???)of the Mongol-Yuan Dynasty is a kind of tablet group graved in stone.The original Proclamation in Mongol-Yuan Dynasty is very rare.To some extent,the tablets preserve the original appearance of the document.Thus,it can be used as the quasi document.The chapter?is Proclamations and Proclamation Tablets of Mongol-Yuan Dynasty.First of all,the historical origin of Proclamation is sorted out.In the Han Dynasty,Bianshu(??)with Fenbi(??)can be regarded as the early forms of synonym.The application of Proclamation was no later than Wei and Jin Dynasties.It was inherited by Tang and Song Dynasties and extended to Yuan,Ming and Qing Dynasties.Based on the receiving object,the Proclamation can be divided into two types:general and targeted.The latter is received by temples and often be graved in stone.By analyzing Kuwabara Jitsuzo's(????)diary of visiting the Yan Temple(??),it is pointed out that the so-called Imperial Edict Tablets(?????)are actually Proclamation Tablets.The beginning of the Proclamation should be the direct reason for misjudging the nature of the document.Combined with the case of the Yan Temple,it points out that the epigraphers'accuracy in giving proper names to other ProclamationTablets.After searching for the documents,we found 20 blocks of Proclamation Tablet and 21 pieces of Proclamation.The fundamental information of each tablets is tabulated and registered,and the Tablets(??)are briefly classified according to the number of languages,issuing authorities and receiving object.The chapter?is the comprehensive study of Proclamation Tablets,including 3 aspects of Inscription(??),Tablet(??)and Space.The study of Inscription covers 2 levels:pattern and content.The study of pattern consists of 7 aspects:format,style,font,size,date,seal and monogram.This section summarizes the early and middle-late forms of documents,and analyzes the language features of the coexistence of classical Chinese and hard translation.The existence of multilingual languages not only improves the dissemination of proclamation,but also proves that the documents originated from the government and are not forged.The specific characters are written in large size,with striking function.From the date of signing,the Printing Proclamation(??)has been popularized to a certain extent.As the use of seal and monogram is related to the effectiveness of documents,they are mostly modeled in their original appearance.The study of content takes Jiaxing District Confucian Proclamation Tablet(????????)as an example and points out that the cause and high-level instructions are the two ends of the event,which must be explained.The study of Tablet is divided into 2 levels:stone quality and shape.Stone quality and environment are closely related to the existence of tablets.Some tablets may have been embedded in the wall,and they share following common characteristics,including no forehead and seat,height less than 1 meter,and height less than width.In addition to the outer space of the tablets,we should pay more attention to the inner space of the Inscription.Carving a stone together with other official documents can be regarded as a collection of orders for temples to protect their own rights and interests.The chapter?is“between the tablets and paper”,which focuses on reasons of the transformation of the carrier and the traces between the new and the old.At that time,the production of the Tablets was intended to be open and memorable.Following that,it could serve as evidence in dispute.In addition to the existence of Pingque(??),obvious characters,seal and monogram,the detailed study of the appearance of tablets can reveal the distorted carving traces such as error,omission,supplement and contraction.The purpose of the Book Version(??)compilation is to extract Inscription,and it is expected to research history with classics or praise the sages.The quality of the Book Version is uneven.As the works of posterity,the Tablets with Book Version are no longer original and should be used with great caution.From the point of view of openness and sustainability,the establishment of the Tablets with Book Version could be said to have different approaches.
