Chen Yan is another writer in Shan Xi who has won the "Mao Dun Literature Award" after Lu Yao,Chen ZhongShi and Jia Pingwa.He occupies an increasingly prominent position in the contemporary literary world with his excellent plays and full-length novels.In particular,three novels created in recent years: "Xijing Story","zhuang tai" and "Protagonist" have attracted much attention."Xijing Story" was adapted into a TV series,"zhuang tai" was rated as the first place in the literature and art category of the "2015 Chinese Good Book" by the Chinese Novel Society,and " Protagonist" won the third Schneian Literature Award and the third the Gold List of Novels and the 10 th "Mao Dun Literature Award".This paper discusses "Protagonist",the most outstanding achievement of Chen Yan's three novels,mainly on its ideological and artistic value and aesthetic style.The full text is mainly divided into four parts.The first chapter mainly discusses Yi Qin'e with the ups and downs of road to the protagonist,from the natural growth of spatial change and the psychological growth of time change.The second chapter starts from three specific spatial dimensions,"theatrical field","official space ”and“ kitchen ",which reveal a kind of ubiquitous competition of human society,and the writing of human sexual desire is launched in the competition.The third chapter describes the protagonist 's life experience and reveals the theme ideas that there is no eternal protagonist in life and that only love can resolve all.And in the nunnery,a special meaning of literary space,the ultimate redemption of love is completed.The fourth chapter mainly analyzes the tragic aesthetic artistic style of " Protagonist" —— tragic narrative and grand and desolate novel artistic structure.
