As a new artistic trend,German Expressionism, which originated in the beginning of last century has developed rapidly in the field of drama and it became an important drama school during a short in Europe. Many dramatists and directors have been practicing expressionism and psychological externalization. With many years accumulation of working experience and practical in my graduated student life,I have made tentative ideas and attempts to integrate Hainan local culture into the drama creation.I use sushi, who was relegated to Danzhou,Hainan, and Jiang tangzuo,a native character of Hainan as the prototypes for literary processing and artistic processing than created the drama play “Po Tian Huang”.The paper takes the creation process of the play “Po Tian Huang”and the director's early desk work as examples to study the psychological externalization technique and the director's concept of the stage. On the basis of the creation of the play, from director 's mind to designs and conceives the stage presentation?lighting?etc.I try to use expressionism drama theory and experience to guide and regulate personal creation in historical works,it is my creative purpose. This play although is a work of historical theme, its style mostly uses expressionism's psychological externalization techniques, comprehensively use traditional and modern ways to externalize the characters' psychological activities, presents the characters' inner world, flexibly uses the traditional plot structure and modern psychological structure to construct the script,so as to enhance the charm of drama art.At the same time, there is no lack of innovation and creation in the form of expression, with diverse and colorful styles.Hope one day this play will become a successful stage drama.
