In the rich and colorful Dunhuang mural music and dance,there are not only the well-known Tiangong opera,Feitian opera,jingbianyue,Baoji,wuguziming,huashengji,secular music and dance,but also a special kind of music and dance composed of children’s performance-children’s music and dance.In this paper,Dunhuang mural music and dance in the image of children as the research object,its historical origins,social functions and specific classification and practice of exploration.Through sorting out and classifying the relevant children’s music and dance,this paper reveals the artistic characteristics and cultural connotation of different forms of children’s music and dance,and then focuses on the presentation of body language of children’s image dance in Dunhuang dance.The purpose of this paper is to study on the basis of dance practice,history and Philology,and to elaborate relevant issues through textual research of historical documents and image materials.This paper mainly consists of the introduction and three chapters.The first chapter studies the social function of Chinese ancient children’s music and dance,and analyzes the origin and development of Chinese native children’s music and dance.The second chapter classifies and summarizes the image of children and their music and dance in Dunhuang murals,and analyzes and discusses their artistic characteristics and cultural connotation.Combing the historical context,analyzing the characteristics of different times,this paper expounds the uniqueness of children’s music and dance in Dunhuang murals.The third chapter focuses on the creation and application of children’s images in Dunhuang dance,and analyzes and discusses the necessity and uniqueness of children’s music and dance in dance practice from different classifications and the use of props.
