Abstract/Summary:
This paper based on"China minority language speech acoustics parameters of unified platform"that developed by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences institute of anthropology and ethnology. On October,1st-10thh 2018,we did fieldwork in Shangdu town of Shilugun hoh banner of Shilinggol league,Inner Mongolia, then established"the acoustic parameterdatabase of Chahar dialect of Shilinggol",referred totheoretical linguistics, using method of experimental phonetics to present detailed discussion on the consonant system of Chahar dialect. This paper was composed of introduction, main content(chapter1-4),summary,references,appendix and acknowledgements. The introduction briefly introduced the situations of Shilinggol Chahar Mongols,Chahar dialect’research status, the reason of topic, the research purpose, method, significance and the general situation and function of“the acoustic parameter database of Chahar dialect of Shilinggol".In this paper, the author discussed the acoustic characteristics of stop consonants, affricates, fricatives and approximant in Chahar dialect, such as their occurring position, frequency statistics, spectrogram features, intensity, length etc.The conclusions were as follows:1.There were/p//p?//t//t?//k//k?/six stops. They appeared at any position of word. The bilabial/p/had[p][beta][?]three variants. The velar/k/had[k][?]two variants. In the light of spectrogram,we can know that:the main variant/p/was shown as silence, burst, and fills. The[β]variant was similar to the vowel sound but had less energy than vowel’s.The variant[?]appeared before/x//s//?//t?//t??/consonants,it was shown as frictional fills and low energy.2.There were/t?//t??/two affricates. They appeared in the initial, middle and end of the words. The occuring frequency was the highest in initial position. From the spectrogram,as we known that, the affricates were shown as silence, burst, and fills. The aspirated affricate’s intensity was stronger than the unaspirated affricate’s.3.There had/s//?//x/three fricatives./x/consonant had two variants that were[x][χ].In the light of spectrogram,it was shown as frictional fills and low energy.Female speaker’s intensity was stronger than male’s.The duration of/s//x/in the non-initial was relatively longer than that in the initial position, and the duration of/?/in the initial was relatively longer than that in the non-initial.4.There were/n//m//?//l//?//j//w/seven approximants. The lateral/l/had[l][?]two variants. The tap/?/had[?][r][?][?]four variants. The nasals/n//m/appeared in any position of word, and the/?/only appeared in the non-initial position. The lateral[l],its variation/l/appeared in any position,[?]variant only appeared in the middle of words. The tap/?/appeared in the non-initial,its variant[?]only appeared in the middle of word. The approximants/j//w/appeared in the any position of words.Nasals, laterals, and approximants’spectrogram were characterized by frictional fills and low energy. The tap/?/,its variation[?]was shown as one narrow silence,[r]variation shown as two or more narrow silences,[?]variation shown as fills and low energy,[?]variation shown as vowel similarly, but its energy was lower than vowel’s.In addition, female speaker’s intensity was stronger than male’s.The duration of nasals and approximants in the non-initial was relatively longer than that in the initial position.
