The Textual Criticism Of“Xiao Yemu's Event”

In January 1950,the People's Literature published the novel "Between Our Couples".Its publication made readers see new themes,new stories and new characters,and caused a sensation.This earned him a reputation and a critical fate."Between Our Couples" from an artistic point of view,is far from good.but its archival literature value cannot be underestimated.It shows the new attempts made by artists in the early days of the founding of the people's republic;its experience from being popular to being criticized after its publication shows the refinement of ideology to literary norms,the operational power of the new cultural system,and the cultural context of the early days of New China.This paper shows the historical background of "Between Our Couples" objectively with historical data: the change of the new regime made Xiao Yemu notice the change of readers' taste and try to change to explore new styles.The "divorce tide" after entering the city has aroused the enthusiasm of Xiao Yemu to intervene in the reality,and tried to reproduce the phenomenon of "cadres entering the city to change into marriage ".At the right time,Zhou yang's "new people's literature and art" encouraged "new themes,new characters,new language and new form" to provide theoretical support for Xiao Yemu's writing.As a result,Xiao Yemu wrote "Between Our Couples" in the fall of 1949,and published it in "People's Literature" in January 1950,which produced a warmresponse.Reading the text carefully,we can feel the dual construction of the mainstream ideological narrative and the enlightenment discourse of the May 4th intellectuals.Xiao can be seen struggling in politics and humanity.This,of course,has allowed politically sensitive critics to see the cracks and question them.The earliest criticism of "Between our couple" was published in April 1950 in the tianjin literary association's official publication "literature and art study" written by Chen Bingran.Then came the article "Talk ",published in July 1950 in the Guangming Daily.Then,after Mao Zedong's criticism of "the biography of Wu Xun" was launched on May 20 th,1951.Chen Yong criticize Mr.xiao for his mission of actively carrying out ideological struggle.From this,Xiao Yemu is at the top of the criticism.Since June 1951,Li Dingzhong(Feng Xuefeng),Ye Xiufu,Le Daiyun and Ding Ling have all joined forces to criticize Xiao Yemu.There is political ideology to the new literature,but also the intervention of individual subjective factors.Through the comprehensive consideration of the political situation,the literary world and the interpersonal relationship at that time,this paper reveals a critical event formed by the collision of multiple kinds of quality.At the same time,it also digs out a debate about literary criticism caused by "Xiao Yemu ",and makes a full-view of the influence of this debate,so that this unique literary criticism event can be more objectively and clearly reproduced.After the article published by Ding Ling,editor-in-chief of the literary and art newspaper,the critical movement was widely carried out,and everyone began to criticize Xiao Yemu.At the same time,Xiao Yemu's good friend Kang Zhuo also joined in the critical camp to find the ideological and historical roots of Xiao Yemu's "wrong line".In the face of the mass criticism,Xiao Yemu had to carry out self-review.However,between the lines,we are not difficult to see Xiao Yemu's grievance.The explanation of the intentions of his writing implies his defence and his inscrutable confusion about policy.Xiao's review showed a generation of intellectuals who wanted to follow but couldn't keep up.Through combing,this paper draws out historical facts and reproduces the whole process of the event in all directions and many angles.In the course of the research,the author carefully examined the reasons why Xiao Yemu was criticized.For example "petty bourgeois writing "," the problem of entering the city "," urban theme writing "," daily life theme writing "," authenticity problem"," narrative technique" and so on.Among them,the problem as a vital link directly points to the whole contemporary literature mechanism and flow direction.
