On The Handmade Ceramics Design In Home Decoration

With the development of the society and the rapid improvement of living standards,people has begun to yearn for return to a simple and natural life,and disgusting highly structured,bland and dull mechanical products industrially replicated on the assembly line.Warm and rich spiritual handmade products have been concerned and even praised highly again.With the revival of handicraft culture,handmade ceramics have been increasingly prosperous and become more and more popular.In such cases,discussing the design of handmade ceramics in home decoration,forecasting its future development and providing new ideas for ceramic design are extremely significant.This paper summarizes the definition and the classification of handmade ceramics,discusses the types and the roles of handmade ceramics in home decoration.It also analyzes and explores the elements of designing handmade ceramics in home decoration,their molding and ornamental features through concrete design practice,specific technique and form of expression,putting forward the author's viewpoints to complete ceramic design used for home decoration,summarize limitations of the study and forecast the future development of handmade ceramics design in home decoration.
