The Study Of Mencius From The Perspective Of Article Science

Mencius is the representative of confucianist in the Middle Warring States Period and makes outstanding contributions to the development of Confucianism.Mencius' s remarks and thoughts are mainly found in Mencius.This paper tries to break the paradigm of the study of Mencius by taking specific chapters and paragraphs as units and studying them from the perspective of textual research.This paper is divided into the following five parts:The first part is the preface.on the basis of reviewing and sorting out the achievements of Mencius literature research,reveals the value and significance of the study of Mencius from the perspective of article science,and briefly explains the research ideas,research methods and innovations of the paper.The second part is a stylistic study of Mencius.Starting from the most basic document unit “paragraph” in Mencius,this paper classifies two hundred and sixty paragraphs in style,and then probes into their stylistic characteristics,origins and causes.In addition to saying style and fable style,according to the different objects of speech,the dialogues are divided into three types: question-and-answer style,question-and-reply style and argumentative style.The formation of the article style of Mencius is closely related to the personal expectation of the sage,the influence of the ethos of the Warring States Period and the compilation process of Mencius.The third part is mainly to study the language art of Mencius articles,mainly divided into two parts: one is from the rhetoric art perspective of the Mencius used in the use of metaphor,contrast,analogy,parallelism and other rhetorical devices and their use of the role of in-depth analysis;one is from the perspective of argumentation art,this paper analyzes and studies the psychological appeal of the object of speech,the citation of Poem and Book to enhance the persuasiveness,and the adaptability of Mencius in the process of argumentation.The fourth part is mainly to analyzes and studies the literary thoughts of Mencius,such as “Zhiyanyangqi” “Yiyinizhi” “Zhirenlunshi”,and on the basis of predecessors,elaborates the potential literary theories,such as “Poetry express one's will” “Simple words but deep meaning”.The fifth part mainly expounds the influence of Mencius and Mencius.Firstly,analyzes the influence of Mencius articles on later generations;then explore the influence of Mencius from the ideal personality standard “sage” of Mencius and Mencius' personality charm in the contemporary value and significance.
