In September 2018,General Secretary Xi Jinping proposed the "China-Africa community with a Shared future" for the first time at the forum on China-Africa cooperation,which laid out the requirements for in-depth cooperation and exchanges between China and Africa in the new era.With the support of the policy,African students have become the second largest group of African residents in China.The rapidly increasing number of international students not only brings a series of "dividends",but also poses new challenges to China's higher education.Xuzhou institute of engineering is one of the jasmine scholarship schools in jiangsu province and one of the "study in jiangsu" cultivation schools.It has been 15 years since the recruitment of international students began in 2005.With the implementation of the "One Belt And One Road" strategy,the number of African international students has been increasing year by year,with the number of African international students accounting for more than 60% of the total number of international students.In 2017,xuzhou university of engineering became the first university to offer dragon dance courses to foreign students,and has achieved remarkable results in the past three years.Therefore,the study on the dragon dance course for African international students in xuzhou institute of engineering can provide a reference for other universities to set up courses for international students.Based on curriculum theory and teaching theory,cross-cultural adaptation theory,the African students dragon dance course in xuzhou engineering institute as the research object,using the literature material law,questionnaire investigation,interview method and mathematical statistics,on the current situation of xuzhou engineering college students dragon dance course in Africa,student evaluation of in-depth study,the problems existing in the mining and optimization measures are put forward,in order to provide a reference for engineering college courses reform of xuzhou,for other college stude.The research draws the following conclusions: first,the completeness and qualityof teaching documents of dragon dance course for African students in xuzhou institute of technology need to be improved;Secondly,the African students' satisfaction with the dragon dance teacher's teaching ability,teaching hours and teaching evaluation method is more than 50%.The school is not satisfied with the teaching conditions such as site facilities,dragon dance props,the setting of teaching objectives and the arrangement of teaching contents.Thirdly,teachers of wulong tend to be younger in age,with generally lower professional titles.Teachers' teaching is characterized by high technical level,strong teaching ability,low foreign language level and weak scientific research ability.Fourth,the dragon dance course has a significant positive impact on the cross-cultural adaptation of African students.Students score highly on the learning of dragon dance course and the understanding of Chinese culture and adaptation to Chinese life.Fifth,xuzhou institute of engineering African students dragon dance course has a remarkable effect.Aiming at the existing problems,this paper puts forward the measures of curriculum optimization from the aspects of establishing the coordination organization,establishing the teaching and research team,improving the teaching documents and innovating the teaching methods.
