Study On The Degree Category In Fenghua Dialect

This paper takes Fenghua dialect as the research object,investigating the overall framework of Fenghua dialect’s degree category and its specific degree forms of expression by means of field investigation,deductive induction,description and comparative analysis.This paper attempts to make an in-depth study of the degree category of dialects from the three levels of morphology,syntax and pragmatics by describing and analyzing the state adjectives,reduplications,adverbials of degree,complements of degree,tone,rhetoric and stress of degree in local dialects,so as to fill in the deficiencies of the study of Fenghua dialects’ grammar and pave the way for the further study of local dialects.The paper is divided into five parts,focusing on the lexical and syntactic aspects of Fenghua dialect.The first chapter is the introduction,briefly introducing the relevant content of this paper.The second chapter discusses XA-type state adjectives and superposition adjectives at the lexical level.There are many XA-type state adjectives in Fenghua dialect."X" is an affix whose meaning is completely blurred,and "A" is the root.The combination of "X" and "A" not only expresses the nature of things,but also contains the meaning of degree.In addition,the degree of XA-type state adjectives is further enhanced by adding affixes to make them into three-word,four-word and even five-word phrases.There are five forms of superimposed adjectives in Fenghua dialect,which reflect different degrees of magnitude.The degree of AA-type and AABB-type does not change obviously,and only reflects weak subjectivity under the action of pragmatic factors.AAB-type and ABAB-type represent high degree.ABB-type is more complex,showing low,high degree of different orders of magnitude.The third chapter analyzes degree adverbial and degree complement from the syntactic level.Degree adverbs in degree adverbials are the most commonly used means of expression in the whole degree category.There are 25 adverbs of degree in Fenghua dialect,most of which are absolute adverbs of degree.This paper analyzes the usage and characteristics of each characteristic degree adverb.The degree complement of Fenghua dialect has two forms: the combinational predicate phrase with complement marker "勒" and the cohesive predicate phrase without complement marker.Degree complement mainly shows a high degree,and strong oral color.The forth chapter mainly introduces the influence of the modal particles,rhetoric devices and stress on the category of degree in Fenghua dialect from the pragmatic level.The fifth chapter is the conclusion,which summarizes the content of the full text,and puts forward the innovation and shortcomings of this paper.
