Since the 1980 s,with the attention of Hunan Provincial Museum,Hunan Provincial Institute of Cultural Relics and Archaeology and other related units on ceramic archaeology,a large number of ceramic kiln sites in Hunan have been discovered, such as Hengyang,Yueyang,Yiyang,Zhuzhou a nd other places.A large number of kiln sites from Tang and Song Dynasties Through nearly half a century of archaeological investigations and survey work, the value of porcelain kiln ruins and unearthed porcelain in Hunan has gradually become the focus of academic research.According to the existing archaeological survey data, there is more information on the research kiln, but there is relatively little research on the blue and white kiln in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The author sorts out and summarizes the shapes and patterns of bowls, lids, plates and kiln furniture of blue and white porcelain by combing the excavated and collecting utensils of the Qingyang porcelain kiln in Yiyang Yangwu. In the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the society and the people liked the chrysanthemum pattern, the group pattern, the grass pattern and the pattern and text with auspicious meaning. From the styling and ornamentation, the Yangwuling blue-and-white porcelain was initially judged to be from the early Ming Dynasty to the late Qing Dynasty. From the aspects of utensils, ornamentation, etc.,compare the blue-and-white porcelain of Yangwuling kiln with the blue-and-white porcelain of the Longling kiln and the Longjing kiln in Hunan, and explore their similarities and understand their differences.Combined with the craftsmanship of the blue-and-white porcelain of Yangwuling Kiln, the uniqueness of the blue-and-white porcelain of Yiyang Yangwuling kiln site is revealed, reflecting the unique regional cultural connotation of its decorative features.Furthermore,it is analyzed that the blue-and-white porcelain in the ancient kiln site of Yangwuling is not only an excellent material for studying the folk kiln in Hunan during the Ming and Qing Dynasties, but also an important material for studying people's production and life at that time.It has an irreplaceable position in the porcelain system of the Xiangjiang River Basin.
