Study On The Visual Representation Of Dongba Symbols In Animation Creation

Dongba symbols originated from the religious classics and encyclopaedia of the naxi nationality,Dongba symbols,which is known as "living fossil" by the naxi people in Yunnan,and is still in use today.Dongba symbols has attracted the attention of many scholars and designers at home and abroad.Under the background of spreading and inheriting Chinese culture,and facing the impact of global western culture on Chinese culture,the animation creation should deeply explore the characteristics of Chinese history and culture in story selection,character design and scene design,so as to convey Chinese culture to the world.Only based on the idea that "Only national is international",can we dig into the character modeling characteristics of Dongba and create animation on this basis.Combining animation creation with animation is not only a way to carry forward Chinese culture,but also a new way to integrate with international animation and promote the development of domestic animation.By learning the naxi culture and deeply studying the visual performance characteristics and implication of Dongba symbols,this paper introduces it into the modeling research of Dongba symbols.By intrinsically linking the modeling characteristics of Dongba symbols with the animation creation,the visual expression forms of Dongba symbols in the animation creation is explored.The main contents and research methods of this paper are as follows:The first part through the background research,understand the background of Dongba symbols and semiotics,the application prospect of animation creation,so as to put forward the research purpose,chapter content composition,as well as the theoretical and practical significance expected to achieve in the paper.The second part starts from the general situation,historical evolution,types of characters and their visual characteristics of Dongba symbols to understand the historical background of the appearance of Dongba symbols and its inherent totem meaning.To understand the laws of the formation of Dongba symbols and symbols provides support for further research.The third part of the animation visual performance of the content of in-depth analysis of the characteristics of China's domestic animation faced with the development trend and problems.This paper discusses the visual performance characteristics and types of animation.Then the analysis of attributes and characteristics of animation vision is discussed.The fourth part analyzes the inner relation between Dongba symbols and animation vision,including the aesthetic relation between object and subject,the design relation between content and representation,and the communication relation between information and form..The fifth part discusses the visual representation of Dongba symbols in character design,the visual representation of Dongba symbols in scene design,and the visual representation of Dongba symbols in props designThe sixth part is empirical research.This paper makes an in-depth analysis and discussion on the visual representation of Dongba symbols in the short film "bawen".By taking Dongba symbols as the research object,this paper combines character symbols with animation design through data collection,comparative study,field investigation,comprehensive analysis and other research methods,so as to make Dongba symbols inherit and develop in animation,spread Dongba symbols,and enrich Chinese elements in animation.
