Development Of Multidimensional Dual-Objective CD-CAT And Its Application In The Assessment Of Borderline Personality

The CD-CAT,which is just emerging in the 21 st century,has taken many forms.Traditional CD-CAT only considers the evaluation of cognitive attributes,but fails to achieve the evaluation of individual macro ability at the same time.Under the guidance of this thought,researchers have developed a dual-objective CD-CAT which combines cognitive attributes and ability.In the existing dual-objective CD-CAT,the models used in ability estimation are unidimensional IRT models,which is not suitable for the extensive multidimensional tests in real life.Therefore,this study intends to develop a multidimensional dual-objective CD-CAT to expand its applicability.On the one hand,this article expands some of the existing item selection methods of dual-objective CD-CAT,and on the other hand,develops several item selection methods.Then this article compares the estimation accuracy,exposure rate,and calculation intensity of these several methods to discuss its rationality.The results show that the new methods(ANI,CEMSHE)are better than the traditional methods(mMIinfor,mDWI,and ASI)as a whole.At the same time,the multidimensional dual-objective CD-CAT was applied to the measurement of borderline personality.The results show that the CAT estimation result with a fixed length of 30 items is highly correlated with the estimation result of the complete BPQ questionnaire test(r> 0.9),and it can reduce the number of items by more than half compared with the 80-item BPQ questionnaire.In terms of measurement validity,the correlation between the CAT measurement of borderline personality and the calibration questionnaires MSI-BP and PDQ-4-BP was 0.932(p<0.001)and 0.918(p<0.001),respectively.In addition,the predictive validity and discriminant validity of the CAT measurement results are good.Its AUC value is 0.972,and the sensitivity and specificity are 0.971 and 0.912,respectively.The above research shows that the newly developed multidimensional dual-objective CD-CAT is reasonable and applicable.Multidimensional dual-objective CD-CAT is an organic fusion of the three major theories of modern psychometric theory(multidimensional item response theory,cognitive diagnosis,and computerized adaptive testing),which has a good development and application prospect.However,the development of this type of CAT has just begun,and more theoretical research and practical application are needed in the future.
