The name of the tune is derived from the sentence "the warbler has moved,the dragon has transferred" in Wei Zhuang's ci.At that time,the word "the moving warbler" was a common allusion,which was mainly used to describe the success of jinshi.As a result,Xi Qian Ying was mainly used to describe the scenes after the exam.With the popularity of long tune in the Song Dynasty,Xi Qian Ying had a long tune creation from ling.Therefore,the name actually refers to two kinds of tunes,which can be divided into xiaoling and long tune according to the number of words.There are altogether 29 xiaoling in the Tang to Song Dynasty and 88 articles of long tune in the Song Dynasty.This paper aims to untangle the development of the tune in the Tang to Song Dynasty by classifying the form and theme of Xi Qian Ying ci.This paper is divided into four parts,as follows:The first part is foreword.It includes the reason,research significance,the review of Xi Qian Ying study and the way of research.The second part illustrates the basic situation of the tune,including the origin,the relationship between xiaoling and long tune,and different names.At that time,the song writers had noticed that there were two types of Xi Qian Ying,which was called “ling” and “man” respectively.In terms of different names,xiaoling has six dlfferent names and the long tune has two different names and two names of xiaoling have effect on other writers.The third part is the study of xiaoling,which is divided into three parts: the statistics of the articles,the rhythm patterns and the development of the themes and styles.In the aspect of rhythm,due to the different rhyme habits,xiaoling can be divided into three main catogeries,and Wei Zhuang's ci represents the most popular one in the Tang to Song Dynasty.The development of the theme can be divided into three processes.At the early stage,due to the influence of tune name delivering theme directly,xiaoling mainly recorded the excited feeling of ascending to the first place,and later,the meaning was extended to birthday celebration by Yan Shu.In the Northern Song Dynasty,the main theme was the description of scenery which aimed to express leisure.In the later stage of Southern Song Dynasty,the theme was transformed into the expression of missing by simulating women's thoughts.The fourth part focuses on the development of long tune in the Song Dynasty,which is also divided into three parts: the statistics,the rhythm patterns and the development of the themes and styles.The form of Huang Chang's ci represents the most popular form.The different forms vary in the sentence pattern and rhyme habit.The "54" sentence pattern which is led by Chinese characters with oblique tones is typical for the long tune.Long tune has also experienced three stages of development in themes.In the middle and later period of the Northern Song Dynasty,there are various themes.While in the early period of the Southern Song Dynasty,the theme mainly focused on celebration.In the late Southern Song Dynasty,the main theme was the expression of distressed feeling after leaving home.
