Interdisciplinary teaching is an important research subject in the field of education.The Ministry of Education promulgated The Opinion on Deepening Curriculum Reform in an All-round Way and Implementing the Basic Task of Establishing Morality and Cultivating People in 2014.It refers that it is necessary to strengthen the horizontal coordination of the relevant disciplines and carry out interdisciplinary theme teaching activities.As a language course,English has a strong interdisciplinary nature.As the main carrier of teaching,the interdisciplinarity of English textbooks can effectively promotes the integration of knowledge of different disciplines and the implementation of interdisciplinary teaching.According to Ordinary High School English Curriculum Standard published in 2017,it is necessary to present new achievements of economy,politics,culture,science and technology,society and ecology in course content.Therefore,interdisciplinary analysis of English textbooks is of great significance.With the method of literature review and content analysis,this thesis conducts quantitative and qualitative analysis to unit topics and contents("Reading","Project",and "Reading" in Workbook of each unit are selected)of Advance with English from the perspective of interdisciplinarity.The findings show that: 1)The unit topics and contents of the textbook involve disciplines of the humanities and social science,natural science,medical science and engineering and technical science.Disciplines in humanities and social sciences account for the largest proportion.2)From the perspective of specific knowledge points,the knowledge points of history are relatively rich,while the knowledge points of literature and ethnology are relatively single.3)The interdisciplinary knowledge in the textbook is given priority to factual knowledge,followed by conceptual knowledge.Procedural knowledge is less.4)Most unit topics and contents discuss the same module theme or unit topic from two or more disciplinary perspectives,but the span between disciplines is not large enough.
