The Development And Application Of Latin Dance Language

In recent years,the international standard dance competition at home and abroad has opened the performance dance competition project,representing the international standard dance narrative lyrical ability,as well as its artistic expression,the appeal is gradually recognized by the public.Through the creation of medusa,this paper will further explore the possibility of Latin dance language in the artistic expression form of dance drama.The Latin dance drama medusa is based on the story of ancient Greek mythology medusa and presents the eternal meaning of the fairy tale under the background of The Times.Taking the tragic experience of medusa as the clue,it reflects the living status of contemporary women.The Latin dance and its related dance languages are arranged to express the narration and emotions,and the story is structured in chronological order.The work is 40 minutes long and consists of four chapters:dance--transformation--siren--death.Through the study of Latin dance history and dance language features,director think language development principle is:in Latin dance is a kind of personality,the symbol of the most core in the full understanding of the characteristics of each dance,on the basis of on the premise of retain their individuality and commonality of parts can be in accordance with the need to make corresponding changes and expansion of the works.Combining with the composition and creation of the works of medusa,the director analyzed the development and specific application of the dance languages of Jive,Cha-cha,Flamenco,Rumba,Samba,matador and many other dance languages,and summarized the development methods of the basic steps in 10 points.Through the compilation and creation of the works,the director has the following experience:to expand the Latin dance language to grasp the characteristics,break the norms.In the creation process,the choreographer sets the story through the theme to be expressed in the dance drama,then deduces the emotional expression required by the characters in each dance section through the story,and then expresses the inner feelings of the characters through the expanded appropriate dance language.That is to say,under the premise of grasping and showing emotions,the arranged dance language should be connected according to the narrative needs in appropriate music to form a dance segment,which is then combined into a complete dance drama.
