The Application Of Surrealism Painting Language In Picture Book

Surrealism originated from France in the early 20 th century,and as one of the remarkable schools in the history of Western art,it has exerted deep influence on artistic boundaries.As we known surrealist painting and picture book design belong to different categories,however,surrealism had a significant impact on the design field.In addition,people found that some surrealist ideas appear in picture book designs as well.At present,Chinese picture books are still in the development stage.Chinese picture book market is still dominated by import resources,due to lack quality and quantity of domestic original picture books.Meanwhile,no matter nationally or internationally,it is uncommonly researching that apply the language of surrealist painting into picture book creation,and most of the researches only based on case analysis of surrealist picture books.Therefore,it is particularly important that in-depth application research of this subject.Firstly,this article states the background,purpose and status of the research.Secondly,the article outlines the definitions of surrealism and picture books.Thirdly,this paper sums up the surrealist painting language and expression techniques through in-depth study of the representative surrealist painting works.The result shows that the surrealist painting language has the "strange" characteristics.Therefore,it takes " strange " as the breakthrough point,which the author applied into the creation of the surrealist picture book "Xun" and created a picture book with surrealistic painting style.Thus,used to prove the impetus and feasibility of the idea.From an artistic perspective,it is ground-breaking and practical that apply the concept of "strange" into the creation of picture books.Meanwhile,more diversified visual expressions have been added into the practice of creative applications.The combination of digital technology and artistic has enriched the expression of picture books as well as brought more creative methods and inspiration for picture book creators.On the other hand,from a humanistic perspective,this picture book creation can be satisfied the readers through aesthetic needs and emotional experience to a certain extent.Last but not least,it has humanistic care.
