| Symbols and metaphors are a way of human thinking and an important expression of cognition.They are one of the sources of new meanings.Originally,symbols and metaphors were just a core concept in literature.With the development of modern times,they have extended to the fields of linguistics,philosophy,psychology,anthropology,aesthetics and other fields,showing a trend of interdisciplinary development.In the long history of the development of human history and civilization,artists are often affected by factors such as politics,economy,and humanities to indirectly express their thoughts and emotions.Understanding and mastering symbols and metaphors helps us accurately understand the inner thoughts and emotions that artists want to convey.This article analyzes the expressive techniques of symbols and metaphors in oil painting landscape from six aspects: the symbolic expression of symbols,color symbolism,the "personality" of symbols as well as the metaphor of subject matter,composition and strokes.Also,it,take for example some western landscape oil paintings,mainly analyzes the connotation and meaning hidden under the appearance of the specific images of their landscape oil paintings,so that when we admire the oil painting landscape,we can not only admire the artist’s superb painting skills,but also understand in depth and multiple dimensions the spiritual philosophy hidden in the oil painting landscape works.In the end,the writer chooses the image of two trees in the poem "To the Oak" by Shu Ting,a famous poet of Misty Poetry,as the portrayal of the prototype and attempts to apply the techniques of symbols and metaphors to her graduation work. |
