The Research On The Divorce Narrative In Reform Novels

Since the publication of factory manager Qiao’s inauguration,the reform literature began to rise,and formed a trend of thought in the 1980 s.The reform literature left traces in the history of literature with strong immediacy.Divorce is a common narrative phenomenon in the novels of reform novelists.This paper will take it as a starting point to make a deep investigation.The divorce narrative in the reform novels is based on the differences of the character’s identity setting and value position,showing a variety of patterns,and finally leading to the outcome of divorce.Specifically,it can be divided into four modes: the mode of " conflict between family and country " :under the contradiction between the great cause and the private life;the mode of "abandoning the old and chasing the new " :the poverty and conservatives were destined to be abandoned;the mode of "heartless man’s leaving " :for the new direction of life and abandoning the infatuated girl;and the mode of "city affair" after entering the city to develop extramarital love.The upsurge of divorce narrative in the reform novels appears under a certain discourse logic,and it is organically involved in the plot development and theme construction of the novels,which contains a profound connotation dimension.First of all,under the guidance of ideological discourse,divorce narrative carries out political complaints with the help of the collapse of human ethics and morality,calls for the great cause of reform,and puts the identification of reform on the scale of morality to measure and complete the legitimacy demonstration of reform.Secondly,following the guidance of authentic discourse,describing the pain of economic system transformation,the new and old values are parallel in the same era,people as the carrier of the concept,showing the conflict of different value positions.Thirdly,the intellectual discourse stands on the literary stage again,based on the real society,to express the contradiction between the pursuit of a better life and the backward urban-rural dual system.Finally,collusion with folk discourse,return to the essence of marriage and love,question the relationship among morality,marriage and human nature,and express the criticism of excessive desire.As a stage of marriage and a branch of marriage concept,the narrative of divorce in reform novels is quite different from other stages,forming a unique characteristic.On the positive side,it has completed the self-renewal of marriage concept and pushed forward on the two levels of economy and emotion;on the other hand,it has also completed the awakening of selfconsciousness and actively adapted to the development of the times;on the negative side,due to the historical deposition and reform of traditional concepts,women’s discourse is aphasia in the text;on the other hand,the tendency of over idealization and moralization is the end of the text The performance of the bureau is very deliberate,which affects the overall depth of the work.
