This practice report is a task of simultaneous interpreting based on the 4th China(Hebei)International Ophthalmology Conference.The interpreting tasks described in this report include the 4th China(Hebei)international ophthalmology conference summit forum,expert lectures,clinical difficult case discussions and other academic speeches.It mainly relates to ophthalmology diagnosis and treatment guidelines,new progress in diagnosis and treatment,drugs research and development and clinical applications,medical equipment in the field of ophthalmology,surgical technology and other research areas.Through this simultaneous interpreting of the conference,the author deeply realized that an qualified interpreter should not only coordinate the interpreting and communication work,but also know how to deal with the psychological quality,digital interpretation,information missing and other issues.The author must correctly handled during the meeting,and further assisted the host to have a smooth and efficient communication and exchanges.This interpreting practice report is divided into four chapters.The first chapter is the introduction to interpreting task,including the background of the task,the feature of the task,and the requirements from the client.The second chapter describes the interpreting process,including the preparation of interpretation,interpreting process and post-interpreting evaluation.The third chapter is the case analysis of the entire interpreting process,the application of the interpretative theory and syntactic linearity principle.The fourth chapter is a summary of interpreting practice,including the self-reflection from the interpreting problems and the prospect for future study and work.
