The first erhu concerto was created by the famous Chinese composer Guan Naizhong in December 1987.This work was very representative in China at that time, and the genre of the concerto was very new in the erhu circle at that time.Through the analysis of this work,we can have a more comprehensive understanding of Chinese contemporary folk music works, which is helpful for our practice and exploration of this work.As the speed of folk music works changes very frequently, the conductor needs to grasp the speed changes in advance through gestures, eyes, and facial expressions to give the band a warning. In addition, concerto conductors are different from symphony conductors in that they need to coordinate the interaction between solo, orchestra, and conductor,as well as the relationship of primary and secondary, and the relationship of contrast and unification in the process of music.
