During The Three Kingdoms period, the internal structure of Shu-Han regime was very complicated.According to the way it entered the regime,it can be divided into five political forces, they are the Yuan-Cong forces and Jing-Xiang forces belonging to the legitimate forces, and the Dong-Zhou forces,Yi-Zhou forces and the External forces belonging to the non-legitimate forces. The five powers struggled and balanced each other, which influenced the rise and fall of Shu-Han regime. As one of the weakest forces, few mentioned its influence on Shu-Han politics. However,in fact,External forces had played an important role in various stages of the Shu-Han regime, and had a significant impact on the Shu-Han political situation.During the reign of Liu Bei,the addition of External forces strengthened the power of its camp and made great contributions to the establishment of the Shu-Han regime. However,as the talent reserve of Liu Bei camp was at its peak,External forces were not reused at this stage. After the defeat of the battle of Yi-Ling,Shu-Han suffered a heavy blow. Then Zhuge Liang, who was in power, began to promote and appoint people with External forces.Represented by Wei Yan,Wang Ping and Jiang Wei,a group of external forces gradually moved towards the center of the political stage of Shu-Han.After Zhuge Liang's death, due to the talent shortage of other forces within the Shu-Han regime,External forces even stood on the top of the Shu-Han political circle.External forces played an important role in the growth of Shu-Han by virtue of their special identity characteristics, but at the same time it was their awkward identity positioning that accelerated the demise of Shu-Han regime to some extent.Through the development of the External forces and the clarification of their unique characteristics,we can clearly understand the characteristics of the External forces and their influence on the Shu-Han political situation. This is not only beneficial to the study of Shu-Han history, but also provides some ideas and help for the overall study of the post-three kingdoms period.
