In this thesis,the author focuses on the metaphorical role of image alienation in contemporary painting.Contemporary painting is specific to the culture of the times,artists are more in reality to find the real experience of survival,with keen perception and perspective to reproduce all kinds of problems in the present world,using artistic language and media to express,deconstruction,ideas began to intervene more in the art Noumenon.Contemporary art emphasizes the relationship between the construction of art itself and the culture of the times,so in contemporary painting,we can see that many artists' creation appears a large number of images different from the normal,these alienated images as carrying the artist's aesthetic consciousness and concept expression carrier,behind which there are specific metaphorical content.Analyzing the basis of the existence of the image of alienation,looking for the metaphor behind it refers to,which can make us more effective to intervene in contemporary painting,understand the expression intention of the painter,achieving self-discipline and effectiveness of his painting language,which has a positive help and promotion effect on the author's painting creation.In the first chapter of the article,the significance and theoretical background of this paper are reviewed.Through the theoretical research on metaphor at home and abroad,it is proved that metaphor exists in the visual category and plays a role in human cognitive activities,which is the basis of this study.The second chapter reviews the metaphorical category and development process of the image of alienation in the history of art: from religious enlightenment in traditional painting to Cezanne's foreshadowing of modernism to the attention of expressionism to the spiritual world in modern painting as the historical basis of this study.The third chapter based on contemporarypainting,with Dumas,Bacon,Kong Qian,Cao Li's works as a case,analysis and interpretation of the image of alienation in contemporary painting directly refers to the role of the real face of survival.To understand and learn how painters express their keen feelings about thebackground of the times,and how to make the works express both personal and contemporary fables.Through the alienation of the characters,Marlene Dumas expresses the resistance to racial discrimination and the appeal to the vulnerable groups to resist violence;Francis Bacon reveals the vision of people's living state after the war by dismantling,reshaping and transforming the image and space;Kong Qian expresses his concern for social and cultural issues through "make-up" of the characters,grafting of various elements,and integration of social landscape;Cao Li expresses his concern for the free flow of space through the treatment of the image of characters,and expresses his concern for personal life experience and spiritual paradise.As a representative of contemporary artists,they guide the author's way of painting creation.The fourth chapter combines the author's own creation,combs the creation each stage characteristic;at the same time carries on the display to the graduation creation plan,the author hopes through the research study to the image alienation in the contemporary painting metaphor function,which allows his own painting of creation achieve a high level of performance.
