| The subjective expression in a character documentary is a behavior in which the director conveys his subjective consciousness by telling the story of the character.Based on the objective reality,he uses the film art method to metaphorically express the director’s thoughts,emotions,and values.Subjective expression is an indispensable part in the creation of character documentaries.Chinese character documentaries have different definitions of "reality" under different era backgrounds,but they are shot based on the real environment of the times.Similarly,it is urgent to think deeply.Therefore,in the creation,how to deal with the relationship with the objective truth and grasp the subjective expression in-depth has become an issue we cannot avoid.This article focuses on the subjective expression in the creation of character documentaries,using comparative research,example research and other methods,combined with his own creation "Art Candidates",to explore the expression and role of subjective expression in character documentaries.The article summarizes character documentaries and subjective expressions,clarifies the meaning and role of character documentaries and subjective expressions,and discusses the factors that affect subjective expressions in the creation of character documentaries from three perspectives: creator,viewer,and protagonist.On this basis,it summarizes the problems,solutions and expression strategies of the subjective expression in the character documentary.Finally,it summarizes and discusses the works created by individuals,and through the theoretical research and practice of the works,feels the importance of subjective expression in the creation of character documentaries. |
