The Narrative Strategy Of 24 City And The Possessed

Mock-documentary was born in the postmodernism as a new type of feature film and Documentary Collision.,which did not hide the presence of the camera,but followed the documentary approach of presenting fictional stories,it is destined to be characterized by a mixture of fiction and truth.With the development of Mock-documentary in recent years,this new type of documentary is more and more accepted by the film audience.The author will take the most representative mock-documentaries in China in recent years,24 City and The Possessed,as the main research object,through its related research,as well as the careful observation of these two films,to understand the narrative strategy of the author,the uniqueness of the mock-documentary in the form of expression and the horizon of expectation,and to analyze the shortcomings.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part is an overview of the mock-documentary and a brief explanation of the two works,24 City and The Possessed.The second part summarizes the narrative strategy of these two films through the analysis of their narrative point of view,audio-visual language and narrative structure.The third part is the reference and use of narrative strategies in the author's creation of Confessions.The fourth part is thinking about the narrative strategy of domestic mock-documentary films,including exploring the value of such works and their shortcomings.In addition,Through this study,I combined theory with creation to deepen my thinking on the narrative strategy of mock-documentaries.
