The Formation And Development Of The People's Ideology

As an intellectual in the May 4th period of 1919,Yu Dafu advocated the independent value of art,emphasized "art for art",advocated the liberation of personality,and opposed the utilitarianism of literature.But in fact,Yu Dafu never forgot to pay attention to reality.In his early thoughts,he gradually showed his concern for the people at the bottom.But in this period,Yu Dafu's concern for the people is more out of sympathy for the people.Therefore,he did not have a more specific and clear understanding of the people as a group.With the development of the revolution,Yu Dafu saw the power of the people.He was inspired and went south to Guangzhou with a passion.But the failure of the revolution brought Yu Dafu a huge blow.He began to realize that people's thoughts are still immature,and they could not recognize their enemies.So they didn't have enough strength in the revolution.In Yu Dafu's thoughts,we can see his attitude towards the people in two aspects.On the one hand,there is a negative understanding of the people.He thinks that the people need to be enlightened.Intellectuals should help people gain wisdom.On the other hand,Yu Dafu realized that the proletariat was the main force of the Chinese revolution,especially emphasized the important role of the peasantry.What needs to be added is that Yu Dafu's understanding of the people is not clear.He wanted to get close to the people,and he started many magazines to express his ideas about the people.But Yu Dafu has his own uniqueness in the process of ideological transformation.He could not really understand the people from the perspective of revolution and build up confidence in the people.Finally,Yu Dafu still has not overcome his petty bourgeois consciousness.Of course,this is not only a problem faced by Yu Dafu alone,but also a common problem faced by many intellectuals.For them,the formation of proletarian consciousness has certain difficulties,which is full of long-term,complexity and hardship.
