Mario Vargas Llosa?1936-?is the leading exponent of Latin American Boom.Because of absurd and humorous style, changeable artistic skills, grand narrative position, rich and profound thoughts, his works have a strong practical critical significance. The body writing in the novels is also a significant feature. From the perspective of body writing, based on the cultural background of Latin America, combined with Llosa's own creative point of view and personal experience, this paper analyzes the content of body writing in his novels, discusses the causes of body writing, and finally reflects on the cultural connotation of body writing.firstly, this paper combs the body writing in Llosa's works.Through the power level, the body writing is divided into three kinds of body landscapes:the body from the perspective of race, the body from the perspective of regime and the body from the perspective of family. From the perspective of race,Llosa persists in opposing colonialism and creats a series of images of the colonists who are in poor health. They run into walls everywhere in the primitive forest,in sharp contrast to the body of the colonized. From the perspective of political power, insisting on principle of opposing dictatorship and violence,Llosa highlights the illegal abuse of violent machines and the dilemma of violent revolution. From the perspective of family, from the standpoint of opposing patriarchy,Llosa emphasizes the male discourse in traditional marriage, intergenerational relations and extramarital affairs,as well as the signs of rebellion.Secondly,in terms of the causes of the body writing, this paper believes that Llosa's personal experience has trained his rebellious character, which makes him deeply touched the patriarchy and family, and is the subjective factor of body writing. The special cultural background of Latin America, such as Spanish colonial rule and the awakening of indigenous consciousness,is the objective reason of body writing. In addition,in terms of literary origin,Llosa's body writing is also influenced by Flaubert and Faulkner, forming a unique literary concept. The value of body writing is mainly embodied in his profound humanistic concern. He calls for cultural diversity, rethinking the moral crisis caused by industrial civilization, criticizing the military dictatorship in Peru, and paying attention to the plight of individual survival.Through criticizing reality,Llosa endows body writing with rich and unique connotation and significance.Meanwhile,it also exposes the limitations of his own thoughts in body writing.Influenced by Western ideology,he misunderstands the local culture of Peru, which leads to the body deformation of Indian. In addition,he also reveals the traditional male consciousness, leading to the"eroticization"of the female body and lacking effective research on the psychological mechanism. Thus, the body writing in Llosa's novels reproduces the fate of Latin America's suffering and the changes of the times in the 20th century. The symbolization of the body is an important carrier to reflect the discourse of power, the outlook of social development and the ideology of literati.
