Research On Guangdong Federation Of Industry And Commerce In The Early Days Of The Founding Of New China(1949-1956)

In the early days of the founding of New China,the Federation of Industry and Commerce(hereinafter referred to as the Federation of Industry and Commerce)was a people’s organization jointly organized by industry and commerce.As a bridge connecting the state and private industry and commerce,it was an important starting point for the party to carry out work in the business community.At that time,under the leadership of the Party,the Guangdong Federation of Industry and Commerce established an organizational system,institutional framework,and operating mechanism that met the needs of the new regime,and played an expected role.This article is guided by Marxist theory,and the Guangdong Federation of Industry and Commerce from 1949 to 1956 as the research object,mainly using the relevant historical materials of the Guangdong Provincial Archives and the Guangdong Provincial Zhongshan Library to establish the Guangdong Federation of Industry and Commerce at all levels in the early days of New China.,System construction and operation mechanism,main functions and so on.In the early days of the founding of New China,the party led the Guangdong private industrial and commercial community to rectify the traditional industry and commerce association(hereinafter referred to as the industry association)to initially form the county and city industry and commerce association preparatory agency,and then through the "top-down" and "bottom-up" two ways to reorganize The work of trade associations combined with the formation of county-level industrial and commercial federations not only enabled the country to intervene and transform traditional trade associations,but also promoted the formation of Guangdong county-level industrial and commercial federations,which not only effectively organized private industrial and commercial workers,but also strengthened the party’s leadership over them.At the same time,according to the needs of the development of the situation,the Party led the business circles in a timely manner to form the Guangdong Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce to provide a favorable guarantee for the unified leadership of the Guangdong business circles.The party also combined with the suppression of counter-revolution,land reform,the "five anti" movement and socialist transformation and other important work to rectify and reorganize the county and city industrial and commercial federations,so that it was organized according to the will of the party,and participated in all the work.In addition,the Guangdong Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce also provided guidance and assistance to the organization and improvement of the county and city Federation of Industry and Commerce,and the establishment of the Guangdong Federation of Industry and Commerce was basically completed.In the early days of the founding of New China,the Guangdong Federation of Industry and Commerce became a business organization that met the needs of the new regime through the establishment of systems and operating mechanisms.The performance of the Guangdong Federation of Industry and Commerce’s functional institution construction is guided by national work,personnel construction is mainly responsible for the party and government,organizations at all levels have clear leadership relationships and strengthen internal communication,and promote organizational construction through the dues system.Has a strong national tendency.In the end,the Guangdong Federation of Industry and Commerce became a powerful hand for the party to carry out industrial and commercial work.It is concluded that the development of the Guangdong Federation of Industry and Commerce in the early days of the founding of New China exemplified the successful practice of the Party’s successful transformation of traditional industrial and commercial guilds and the full use of old social resources to create a new China.It was also an effective injection and drive of social organization by the Party’s own organization construction concept.As a result,the Federation of Industry and Commerce played the expected role of the new regime.At the same time,due to the country’s intervention and the need for work,the Guangdong Federation of Industry and Commerce’s functions tend to be united,and the sociality and economics have correspondingly weakened.Some of the positive roles played by traditional non-governmental business organizations have failed to carry forward.
