On The Moral Consciousness Of Wang Yangming's Mind Theory

Moral consciousness highlights the moral subject in the moral construction,points the moral cultivation to the inner level of the subject,and emphasizes the self action of the subject to morality.In this paper,the analysis and discussion of moral consciousness from Wang Yangming's mind study system are mainly focused on three problems: first,the separation of moral principles and moral subjects in moral basis,and the transformation of individual moral basis from external metaphysical norms to internal value identification;second,the separation of time and tedious problems in moral cultivation,and the individual's self morality Third,to solve the problem of the implementation of moral judgment in moral practice,to complete the transformation from moral consciousness to moral behavior by demonstrating the possibility of individual self moral realization.The specific research contents of this paper are as follows:The first part expounds the constitution of moral consciousness in Wang Yangming's mind study system.From the point of view of academic theory and Confucian tradition,moral consciousness can be understood as the value pursuit of individual self certification and good and evil elimination according to the moral principle of "benevolent people take all things in the world as one" and the moral effort based on "human nature theory".In the same way,in the path of realizing moral consciousness covered by Confucianism,the meaning world of "sincere self" belonging to Yangming Xinxue is different from the cosmological system of extraneous things,that is,it points out two new directions in the realization of moral consciousness: one is to change the moral principle from the sequential pattern of Song school to the self-sufficiency of our nature;the other is to change the external thing obtained from the moral content The principle of "what is" is transformed into the internal principle of "what should be" set by itself.The second part demonstrates the basis of moral consciousness in Wang Yangming's mind study system: the noumenon of mind.The theoretical basis of Yangming's theory of mind is to take the mind and body as the basis of individual moral activities in the context of good nature since Mencius,and further explain the moral subjectivity with mind and body.First,from the perspective of noumenon,"the noumenon of the mind of the best".The mind body in Wang Yangming's mind study is the noumenon existence with "the best" as the stipulation,which is the "moral mind" with moral basis and can distinguish right from wrong,rather than the "perceptual mind" in the field of experience consciousness;Secondly,from the moral source,"mind is reason"."Natural principle" is the highest moral source in Confucianism.The reason why mind and body can become moral basis lies in the integration of mind and natural principle.Thirdly,from the perspective of valueregulations,"explaining rites by heart".Through the relationship between "reason is ceremony" and "mind is reason",moral consciousness,under the interpretation of universal norms,also guarantees the continuity in form and the unity in structure of etiquette itself;fourthly,from the perspective of external regulations,"there is no reason outside the heart".To deny the existence of moral principles outside the mind and body can be said to be a "strong form" to determine the subjectivity of morality,which,together with the above three aspects,forms a relationship in the moral logic that the mind and body always take charge of everything in the world.The third part analyzes the development and application of moral consciousness in Wang Yangming's mind study system: sincerity.The transition from mind and body to sincerity is the transformation of moral consciousness from noumenon to work in Wang Yangming's mind study system,which shows the breakthrough and problems in moral effort and judgment of good and evil.From the two dimensions of "meaning" in Yangming theory of mind,one points to the object,indicating that all consciousness is the consciousness of things;the other points to the value,indicating that consciousness endows things with morality.Sincerity fulfills the sincere requirements of self-cultivation consciousness in the two kinds of work of "practical intention" and "guard against fear and cautious independence",and constructs the moral connection between the subjective consciousness and the objective world.Sincerity in the face of moral consciousness how to distinguish "Goodwill from the noumenon" and "private will",how to solve the problem of moral cultivation separation,that is,the presentation of moral consciousness in the main body,that is,the insight of the fundamental reality of the heart,the internal turn of moral cultivation and the presupposition of the transcendental right and wrong mind.The fourth part explores the realization of moral consciousness in Wang Yangming's mind study system: to conscience.The realization of moral consciousness starts with the value judgment of conscience to the good and evil in consciousness,and ends with the completion of conscience to moral practice.It comprehensively combs the moral basis,moral ability of moral subject and the problems and solutions faced in the realization of moral self.First of all,starting from the existence of conscience in the subject,it is clear that conscience as a priori right and wrong criterion,internal subject instinct and universal moral identity provide the necessary foundation for the realization of the subject's moral consciousness.Secondly,starting from the specific application of conscience in the subject,through moral introspection,we can show the subject's disposition to be good,the judgment and Reflection on self intention and the perfect conscience noumenon,and explore the realization process of moral consciousness in the subject consciousness.Finally,the conscience demands the subject's time,and the subject realizes the moral consciousness in the transformation from the moral consciousness to the moral practice through the utmost conscience,following theconscience and doing the conscience in the matter.
