| In the 1920 s,influenced by the “May 4th Movement”,a group of young composers and lyricists who shared the same musical goal established an organization named “Spring Bee Music Associaton”.The organization focused on composing songs that themed with “freelove”.There were over 30 songs has been published through the periodical New Women since 1927.Juntao Qian,one of the founders and key members of the organization,eventually collected 37 songs together and published them as an album under the name of "Thirty-seven Love Songs".This essay researches on the conception of "Love Song" which defined by Juntao Qian.Firstly,the essay analyzes the poems and the music features,and explain the definaiton of “Love Song”.Secondly,the essay analyzes 4 selected love songs that composed by Juntao Qian,Xiaokong Chen,and Wangxiang Qiu.In the next,the essay summarizes the performance history and transmission routes of this song genre.The end of this essay is a comparison between "Love Song" and the major contemporaneous vocal music genres. |
