Reading aloud is an efficient way to improve high school students’ comprehensive ability of learning a language,and is also a necessary part in English teaching.Reading aloud in high school,which contributes to strengthening their abilities of listening,speaking,reading and writing,benefits students a lot.Thus,this paper is going to study to help increase high school students’ interest,develop a scientific habit in reading English aloud and improve their self-efficacy in learning English by Reading aloud Strategies: Reading under Guidance,with Pause,with Speed and to Share,thus to enhance their comprehensive ability of learning English.This paper involves some studying methods such as interviews,questionnaires,tests,experiments and dada collecting and analyzing.The participants are students coming from Class 6 and Class 15 of Senior Two in Kuitun No.1 Senior High in Xinjiang.Two hypotheses had come up before the experiment began: Reading Aloud Strategies can help students increase their interest and develop a scientific habit in reading English aloud;Reading Aloud Strategies can help improve students’ self-efficacy in comprehensive ability of learning English.Two conclusions have been made in this study.First,Reading Aloud Strategies increases students’ interest and helps them develop a scientific habit in reading English aloud.Second,Reading Aloud Strategies helps build up students’ confidence in learning English,and improves their self-efficacy in learning English. |
