The Discourse Analysis Of Mao Dun's Early Novels Research

Mao Dun's early novels in 1927-1930 have unique characteristics.These works reveals the possibility of Mao Dun's taking another road besides realism.Mao Dun's early novels are interpreted differently in different periods,shows a variety of research results.As a form of discourse,literary criticism can reflect the scholar's ideology,knowledge structure,and even the deep context of discourse power.The thesis regards the research evolution of Mao Dun's early novels as the construction of different powers in the field of knowledge,and explores the similarities and differences between the mainland and the English world,starting from the three modes of discourse expression:enlightenment discourse,political discourse,and aesthetic discourse.The first chapter mainly discusses the enlightenment discourse in the study of Mao Dun's novels.It is pointed out that the time demands of the enlightenment,which focus on the present and individuals,are reflected in the early studies.Moreover,in the middle period of the study,scholars still have personal expression under the suppression of political discourse,and the later period of the study returns to theperspective of enlightenment,which reflects the inner consistency of enlightenment discourse in Mao Dun's research in the 20 th century.The second chapter discusses the power generation of political discourse in academic field.Evolutionary discourse is the forerunner of political discourse construction.From the1940 s to the early period of the founding of the People's Republic of China,the official positioning of Mao Dun and his works established the evaluation specifications of Mao Dun's works,and the writing of literary history was strengthened.The political tendency of scholars' monographs shows the spread of political discourse to the personal field.The third chapter mainly discusses the composition and change of aesthetic discourse in the study of Mao Dun's novels.Aesthetic discourse pays attention to the artistic characteristics of works,which is embodied in the study of symbolic art techniques,psychological analysis,character image and so on.As a kind of reference,the study of Mao Dun in foreign countries has influenced the choice of research methods and ideas in recent years,which shows the efforts of constructing knowledge of aesthetic discourse in this period.Through the application of discourse theory in the academiclevel,the paper abstracts the existence of discourse recessiveness in the academic expression of Mao Dun's early novel research,so as to analyze the changes of different knowledge systems and discourse strength in different times.
