The sense of self-efficacy mainly refers to the individual's self judgment or presumption whether he can complete a task by himself or herself.According to the theory,people usually expect the effect of behavior result,so they are more likely to participate in activities or initiate effective behaviors.Therefore,learners' positive self-efficacy is conducive to their learning behavior,and can significantly enhance their learning effect.Now English has been included in the compulsory examination,so almost all junior high school students pay great attention to the study of English.This is also true for junior high school teachers,who all hope to use efficient teaching methods to improve students' English scores.However,Chinese language has always been the daily language of Chinese people.As the mother tongue of China,Chinese language is the most widely used language in the world.Chinese people can hardly communicate in English in their study or work.In addition,the pronunciation and characters of Chinese and English are quite different,so many Chinese junior high school students are not good at learning English,so their sense of self-efficacy in English learning continued decline.The increasingly low sense of self-efficacy in English learning will have an impact on the attitude of junior high school students to learn English,which makes them more afraid of learning English.The lack of learning motivation in this area eventually leads to the students' English performance getting worse and worse.Since then,a vicious circle has formed,and the students' English performance has never been effectively improved.It can be seen that the improvement of junior high school students' English learning performance can not only start with the accumulation of knowledge or the improvement of learning methods,but also improve their sense of self-efficacy in English learning.Based on the theory of self-efficacy,this paper explores whether junior high school students' English learning achievement will be affected by self-efficacy and whether the students with ideal English achievement have higher self-efficacy than those with unsatisfactory English achievement.This study uses the method of questionnaire to collect the relevant data,designs the questions related to English self-efficacy in the questionnaire,and then explores the gap between students' English learning self-efficacy level,the correlation between self-efficacy and English performance,the gap between high score and low score corresponding to English self-efficacy.At the same time,it also carries out face-to-face communication with students to make different score segments more clear The learning mode and problem-solving mode used by students of.Finally,based on the analysis of effective information,some suggestions are put forward for English teaching.Through analysis and research,the following conclusions are drawn: Junior high school students' self-efficacy in English learning is at a low level;Self-efficacy will have a certain impact on junior high school students' English performance,and the correlation between them is significant;There is a great difference between high group self-efficacy and low group self-efficacy,the former is higher than the latter.Based on the above results,the researcher focuses on exploring the strategies to effectively improve junior middle school students' self-efficacy in English learning,which are mainly as follows:Help students find the right way to learn;Conduct attribution training for students;Help students to define reasonable learning objectives;Implement heuristic teaching and provide students with learning experience;Set a learning example;Psychological suggestion to students;Focus on students with certain difficulties in learning;English teaching not only pays attention to students' achievements,but also teachers should care about students' learning state,help them to correct their learning attitude,set up their learning goals,improve their self-confidence in English learning,and encourage students to face all kinds of problems in English learning with a positive attitude.
