Music performance is a kind of art combining audiovisual and multi-channel.In the auditory channel,the music works themselves have a direct impact on the emotional experience of the audience.The scene,lighting,performance posture and clothing color in the visual channel are also important factors affecting the emotional experience of the audience.In musical performance,it is common for performers to choose the color of clothing that is associated with the emotion of the musical work,but it is difficult to find theoretical support for it.By sorting out relevant literatures at home and abroad,it is found that there are more studies on the connection between the concept of color and the concept of musical emotion in existing researches,most of which are metaphysical,and few empirical studies on psychology.In the psychological research of music performance,there are few empirical studies on the influence of performance clothing color on the emotional experience of music.In relevant studies,color and music can be correlated by emotion.The hypothesis of emotional mediation holds that the correlation between music and color is based on similar emotions aroused by both.Most of the color stimulus materials studied are pictures,and few studies explore the influence of music and color on the audience’s emotional experience of music by compiling music and color into audio-visual double-channel stimulus materials simultaneously.This study with previous research on color and music emotion,this paper USES the dynamic data of audio-visual dual channel stimulation,color and music mood problems "in the field of music performance psychology,this paper studies music performance in the rule of costume colors associated with music,using the theory of emotions intermediary hypothesis,multi-channel discusses six stage clothing commonly used color on different kinds of mood music experience,the influence of cold/warm color tone,neutral tonecostume on different kinds of mood music differences in the influence of emotional experience,analysis of costume color type matching degree is high music emotion can most effectively to cause the participants.In this study,a preliminary experiment and two formal experiments were designed to discuss the behavior experiment.In addition to selecting music materials and clothing color materials,the pre-experiment also discusses the characteristics of music and clothing color and the law of emotion.Experiment 1 discusses the law of emotion connection between music and clothing color.Experiment 3 explores the influence of different colored costumes on the emotional experience of music in the visual channel.Three types of positive,neutral and negative emotions in pipa music of Chinese folk music were selected as the music stimulus materials,and six colors of red,black,white,pink,champagne and blue were selected as the clothing color stimulus materials.By recording a video of the performer performing in his/her costume,the two materials are presented in the audio-visual double-channel material.The evaluation of emotion was mainly carried out in the form of subjective report.The two-dimensional emotion scale(Russell,2003)and likert5-point scale were used in the pre-experiment and the formal experiment as the emotion measurement tool.This paper discusses the relationship between clothing color and music emotion from the three dimensions of matching degree,emotional arousal degree and valence of music and clothing color,the matching rule of music and clothing color,and the influence of different clothing color on the emotional experience of different types of music.The results show that(1)the potency and arousal of music materials and clothing color materials are related to their characteristic properties.The emotional valence of music is greatly affected by track speed.The faster the tempo is,the more positive the mood is,while the slower the mood is,the more negative the mood is.However,there is no significant relationship between the arousal of music mood and tempo.The titer of different clothing colors is affected by color tone and temperature,but the relationship between arousal of different clothing colors and color tone and temperature is not significant.(2)Music and clothing color establish the correlation of feature dimensions through emotion.Emotion serves as the connection factor,and there is the hypothesis of emotion mediator between them.Music and clothing colors with a high matching degree are positively correlated in their respective characteristic dimensions.(3)The color of clothing has little influence on the judgment of music emotional experience type of subjects,while the music works in the auditory channel itself has great influenceon the music emotional valence of the audience.The color of clothing has a great influence on the arousal of music emotion in music performance.The warm color clothing has a higher arousal level for music with positive emotion,among which the red clothing has the highest arousal level.Black clothing in cool and non-colored tones had a higher arousal level to negative mood music.Champagne has a greater effect on the arousal of neutral music.(4)The influence of clothing color in the visual channel on the arousal degree of music emotion in the audiovisual channel is positively correlated with the matching degree of clothing color and music emotion.The higher the matching degree of clothing color and music emotion,the higher the level of music emotion arousal in the audiovisual channel.Emotion mediator is assumed to exist between the color of performing costumes and the emotion of music.In musical performance,players choose costumes with high emotional matching degree,which can show the stage effect of musical performance to the greatest extent,strengthen the emotional communication of music in the process of musical performance,effectively stimulate the audience’s musical emotion,and arouse the resonance of the audience. |
