Reading plays an increasingly important role in English teaching and learning in Junior High School,which is particularly obvious in the background of quality education.And in English reading class,the questioning is an important way of communication between teachers and students.The depth of questioning affects the development of students' thinking level.At present,in teachers' daily teaching,most of questions in reading classes of junior high school are focused on language and grammar but those based on cultivation of high-level thinking are ignored.These problems lead to the decline of the students' interest in English reading class and the lack of reading thinking.Based on this situation,the author attempted to explore a teaching question mode of English reading class in a teaching experiment,adding more evaluation questions,analytical questions and creative questions in the reading class of Junior two,and the generally practiced method in a control class.The study attempted to explore whether questions in reading teaching effectively improve students' high-level thinking,mainly based on Bloom's taxonomy,the Constructivism Learning Theory and English Curriculum Standard for Junior High School.The author wanted to verify the effectiveness of evaluation questions,analytical questions and creative questions in English reading teaching and helped teachers pay more attention to the questions in the reading classes of junior high school,through this study.Through the analysis and discussion of the collected questionnaire data of control class and experimental class,the students' reading scores before and after the test,and the information from the interview,the author found that the subjects in the experimental group had significant advantages over those in the control group,in terms of reading thinking level,English reading interest and confidence.Therefore,in the English reading class,questions of different levels are conducive to the development of students' thinking level from low to high.And the evaluation questions,analytical questions and creative questions effectively improve students' high-level thinking.Yet,due to the small scale and short duration of this research,the pervasive advantage of the teaching method still remains to be studied in further research.
