Research On The Folk Relief In Northeast Qing Dynasty

In the Qing Dynasty,natural and man-made disasters occurred frequently in Northeast China,and the compulsory social security funded by the state can not actually meet the needs of all members of society,so folk relief came into being.Civil relief is of great significance to the social stability and regional development of the northeast region of Qing Dynasty.This paper studies the folk relief in Northeast Qing Dynasty from the following aspects:The first chapter is an overview of the rise and development process of folk relief in Northeast,China.That is,the northeast region has been invaded by natural and man-made disasters all the year round,the government advocates and encourages the folk relief,and the people of the northeast region are deeply influenced by the social relief thought of our country,including the traditional Confucian relief thought and the western introduced charitable thought,which together constitute the background of the emergence and development of the folk individual and organization relief behavior in the northeast of Qing Dynasty.The second chapter puts forward the main body of folk relief in the northeast of Qing Dynasty,which mainly includes the squire,the rich household,the merchant and the other four parts.And the four kinds of folk relief main body's activity way,the characteristic and so on carries on the elaboration.The third chapter introduces the main contents of folk relief in the northeast of Qing Dynasty,including the emergency relief measures after natural and man-made disasters,including relief,charity performance and daily support organization.This paper focuses on providing assistance to the poor by setting up porridge factories,warehouses and health-care halls,setting up nursery schools and orphanages to adopt orphans or abandoned infants,setting up bull pox boards and hospitals to provide medical assistance,and providing education with assistance from schools.The fourth chapter expounds the characteristics of folk relief in the northeast of Qing Dynasty,including personal behavior more than organizational beha vior,folk relief began to split with official relief,folk relief in the long-term development optimization.This paper expounds the characteristics and changes of folk relief in the northeast of Qing Dynasty from the aspects of fund-raising,relief scope and main body involved in folk relief.Finally,the author summarizes the evaluation of folk relief in Northeast China in various academic periods,and takes it as a reference to find out the root of the problem that the social relief system has not matured for a long time in order to understand the folk relief in China.
