Image and text have become the most common expression in modern culture.The extensive use of photography has made the juxtaposition of images and text more common and necessary.The advancement of communication technology promotes the development of artistic creativity.Elements such as collages,composite materials and electronic media with postmodern characteristics make contemporary art present a multifaceted aspect.There are many kinds of graphic works in contemporary art,but American artist Barbara Kruger makes good use of advertising graphic symbols to create because of his media work background what give her a special place in the field of contemporary art.Therefore,Kruger was selected as the research object.The purpose is to deepen the understanding of Kruger graphic arts,and to observe the stories and meaning behind contemporary art creation.The research on Kruger is divided into three parts.First,systematically organize Kruger's personal encounters and style evolution,and subdivide it into four different stages to understand the context of the development of the work;secondly,discuss the way between Kruger's different works in terms of graphic presentation and meaning,analyze the diversity of Kruger's works and the different connotations in content,and how to leave the greatest significance to the viewer through graphic processing;finally,use the body's research theories in different fields to analyze the works,analyze the physical performance in Kruger's works to find the politics and philosophy hidden in the works.A two-way analysis of the chronological development line and the longitudinal exploration line of the form and connotation of the work,in order to have a deeper understanding of Kruger's graphic creation and communication,to achieve a meaningful interpretation of his work,and provides a reference way for the readability of contemporary art.
