Most artists in the 20 th century were both art educators.When western education had a strong impact on Chinese education,most art educators made unique contributions to the reform of Chinese painting and influenced the development direction of Chinese painting art education.But the rapid development of art education in the 21 st century,some predecessor's thought gradually forgotten,Jiang Zhaohe as outstanding artist and art educator in the 20 th century,his lead in "To bring the west to the middle" of art education thought and the basic modeling system in the 50 s and 60 s figure painting has a big influence in the teaching,but later in the lineage of constantly updated,so that Jiang Zhaohe thought and practice for a long time is not taken seriously,after analysis,the thought and practice in modern and contemporary art education in many colleges and universities of Chinese painting still has vitality.Jiang Zhaohe's thought of art education has experienced three stages: foundation,exploration and formation.Influenced by the family traditional culture at an early age,and early to find his artistic talent.Later,he was indoctrinated by Xu Beihong's western thinking and knowledge,it defineded his path in art.Moreover,due to the impact of western culture in the painting world at that time,there was a debate on the improvement of Chinese painting.All of these gave directions to the embryonic period of Jiang Zhaohe's artistic thoughts.Then,driven by the changes of the times,the constant changes of artistic creation styles and the art education experience in different periods and places gradually formed the slogan of "not copying the ancients,not learning fashion,facing life,integrating Chinese and western" in Jiang Zhaohe's art and teaching.Jiang Zhaohe's thought of art education is mainly manifested in two aspects: one is practice creation,the other is teaching reform.Looking at his paintings before the 1950 s are mainly concerned with life and social portrayal,which is the premise of his art teaching thought.After 50 s has been teaching at the Central Academy of Fine Arts,during he teaches,the Central Academy of Fine Arts of Chinese painting teaching after a series of ink figure painting teaching exploration,Jiang Zhaohe based modelling of sketch teaching and reform made outstanding contribution,he combined with his own creative practice and teaching experience,summarized about the sketch,lyrics,ink figure painting of interrelated three figure painting sketch teaching mode.The author collecting Jiang Zhaohe teaching reform and teaching the specific content of the literature,refined the fine arts education thought,such as "dialectical negation sketch is the foundation of all plastic arts","lead in the west embellish: follow the rules of different nationalities performance","follow the principle of traditional Chinese painting modelling: the bone pen and shape write god".And it becoming an important basis for the successful reform of Jiang Zhaohe's basic modelling system.Jiang Zhaohe's thought of art education is of great significance in Chinese contemporary art education.The reform program of basic course of figure painting he carried out has been fully recognized in the Central Academy of Fine Arts and some universities.Not only that,in the 50 s to 60 s of figure painting the transition of the teaching mode has also played a role in promoting,his artistic ideas and teaching methods had a direct or indirect influence on the artistic achievements of the mainstream Chinese painters in later generations.Although for a variety of external factors,the influence of Jiang Zhaohe in figure painting,artistic thought and teaching model shows some limitations,but in the art on the development of education in the 20 th century,Jiang Zhaohe's art education thought and the related practice has an important position,therefore,it is of necessary to study his thought of art education.
