Study On The Language Of Zhang Peili Video

From the development of contemporary western art,with the rise of concept art in western contemporary art,the choice and application of media materials is no longer the symbol of art grade.McLuhan points out that "media is information ",he understands the media as an independent object,consistent with the image of the art of subject existence,has its own unique contribution and aesthetic system.The appearance of video art coincides with the prevailing era of wave and pop art,and video art also has corresponding traces of the times.It emphasizes the individuality and instant communication of art.as well as the involvement of art in life.As a language of the avant-garde,video art boldly expresses its views on social and cultural issues.Zhang Peili's is the first Chinese artist to explore video art,his works repeatedly discussed the value of video and image and other new media art that is independent of television and film and other mass media in the highly developed capitalist era.At the same time,by means of editing,juxtaposing,transcribing,and presenting all the signal data lines and connecting lines directly to the audience on the scene,Zhang Peili uses many limitations such as the temporal and material nature of video art skillfully,and creates a variety of dramatic conflicts such as humor,nostalgia,metaphor and so on under the aesthetic framework of machinery and technology,to try the possibility of going beyond technology and the media itself.The first chapter of this paper mainly deals with the concept and the development ofvideo art in China.The second chapter,combining with Zhang Peili's video works of different periods,analyzes the language of Zhang Peili's works,such as the repetition of actions,the prolongation of time,the editing and processing of old film elements,the communication of consciousness in the social background,and so on.The third chapter,writes my own creative practice process,creative ideas and sketches.To the material choice and the application,talking about the language of Zhang Peili's video works affects my creation influence.The fourth chapter discusses some problems and gains in the process of video art creation.
