A Study Of Wasily Kandinsky’s Artistic Thought

Wassily Kandinsky(1866-1944)was a Russian-born French painter,the founder of modern abstract art practice and theory,and one of the important teachers of Bauhaus academy,the cradle of modern design.His art includes music,philosophy,psychology and so on a variety of categories,its theoretical works "Concernithe spirit of art"," of point,line and plane" is known as the revelation of modern abstract art," kandinsky,deeply involved in the development of modern art important ".It has a profound influence on a series of western modern art schools and even today’s world art.Kandinsky’s artistic thought is of epoch-making significance,centering on spirituality.The process of getting rid of the concrete object in the picture is also the synchronous embodiment of his artistic thought.His artistic thoughts mainly include "inner need","inner voice",”hidden structure" and "artistic synthesis".The purpose of this paper is to combine kandinsky’s theory with his own painting practice to elaborate his artistic thought.This paper is divided into five chapters on kandinsky’s artistic thoughts.The first chapter explores the influencing factors of kandinsky’s artistic thought formation.Kandinsky traveled extensively throughout his life.His art is influenced by many factors,which is the entry point for us to understand the generation of his thought and the evolution of his artistic style.The second chapter analyzes the basic content of kandinsky’s artistic thoughts,which is the focus of this paper.The third chapter explores the main styles of kandinsky’s artistic thoughts in his painting practice.Chapter four studies kandinsky’s artistic activities in the mature period of his artistic thoughts.His friendship and teaching enabled him to spread his artistic thoughts in Bauhaus,and also enabled his artistic ideas to be applied and practiced.The fifth chapter is the conclusion of this paper,which discusses and evaluates kandinsky’s artistic thoughts on the whole.
