The Composition And Semantic Study Of Russian Mechanical Terminology

Terminology,as an important constituent part of language,is used to refer to the concrete or abstract concepts in a certain professional area.Nowadays,with the rapid development of technology and the constant emergence of new inventions and concepts,terminology has become increasingly important.Industry is the backbone of national economy,in which the mechanical industry occupies an important position.Thus,it is of great urgency on the formulation,normalization and translation of mechanical terms.Taking mechanical terms in Russian as research objects,this paper uses relevant theories of terminology to reveal the features of Russian mechanical terms from the perspectives of the structure and semantics of terms.The paper firstly introduces the background and significance of the research,clearing up the current research situation and development trend at home and abroad;it also clarifies the research objects,that is,the terms concerning the internal structures of various devices and machines constituted with the mechanics principle,instruments and mechanical operation,which consists of single component terms,double component terms and multi component terms.In the part of theoretical foundation,it mainly illustrates the fundamental issues of terminology research and major development stages,confirms the definition of terms and introduces features of terms.The constitution of Russian mechanical terminology mainly involves morphological formation,lexical-semantic formation,syntactic formation and morphological-syntactic formation.Terminology is characterized by accuracy and monosemy,but in Russian mechanical terms,there still exists synonymy and polysemy.In this paper,synonymy and polysemy of terms are listed to analyze the causes of these phenomena,and moreover,classification will be carried out on those terms.It is of great benefit to study Russian mechanical terms so as to enrich the research outcome of terminology.Besides,it is of certain reference significance to the normalization and accuracy of Chinese-Russian mechanical terms.What's more,this can also help reduce the communication barriers caused by misunderstanding of words in communicative process.Lastly,it is very conductive to the teaching of Russian for science.
