Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was one of the great Austrian composers during the classical period.Though his life was short,he made a great contribution to the development and had a profound influence of European music.Among many musical genres created by Mozart, opera and piano concerto are two of his outstanding and important fields.Meanwhile, the concerto genre created by Mozart is also a milestone. The piano concerto in d minor(k.466)studied in this thesis was composed by Mozart in 1785,which was also the peak period of Mozart’s music creation.By means of literature research, case study and comparative analysis, this study analyzes the piano concerto in d minor(k.466)from three points of view, which are:ontological analysis and creation technique, style interpretation, and second creation. In the first chapter, through the ontological analysis of the three movements, the fundamental factors of the music establishment are explored. And creation techniques are analyzed on the basis of the fundamental factors. In the second chapter, cultural and historical factors in the creation are analyzed, and its influence on Mozart’s musical style is studied, and then the interpretation of the work’s style is clarified. In the last chapter, based on the analysis in the first two chapters and different acoustic versions of the three performers, this work is further analyzed by using the music theory and the perspective of piano performance, and then the interpretation is summarized.
