As education is carried out to meet the need of the qualified personnel for the development of the world,an increasing number of the teaching methods arise with the education revolution.Meanwhile,education in senior high is expected to be forward-looking and pluralistic.Curriculum Program of General Senior High School and Curriculum Standards of Chinese and Other Subjects(2017)was put forward to improve the teaching standard,indicating that the ultimate goal is to cultivate the ability of learning,consciousness of culture,quality of thinking and linguistic ability,which set a specific and measurable standard for English teaching.The essence of reading course can be specified as follows.a,mainly to obtain the ability of reading,including getting the main idea,supportive details,outlook and the strategies of analyzing.b,to sense the culture at home and overseas,acknowledging the splendid culture.c,to develop and practice logic,critical and innovative thinking,to improve the ability of analyzing and settling problems;d,to maintain the awareness of life-long learning and learning by themselves with effective strategies and resources.The conception of "Students-based Education",a local and forward-looking concept,then follows its course and benefits a lot of schools in mainland and Hong Kong with distinguished outcomes after 20-year research and conduction.In order to have a full picture of the effectiveness of Reading Teaching in Senior High under the Conception of "Students-based Education",the thesis do a literature review of the Conception of "Students-based Education",reading teaching,reading courses and effective teaching,analyze the theories applied in "Students-based Education" and the development of reading course and the requirement and standard of effective teaching,and interview teachers and questionnaire students among 5000 to have a good command of the effectiveness of reading courses and dig more problems to improve teaching.And finally achieve the goal.Based on the practice of teaching and the result of the research,several points are put forward as follows.a,to broaden the sources of native materials and display a certain value with the help of Big Data and internet concerning the ability of recognition and interest of students in senior high.b,to clear the objectives and ensure that it get across to students;c,to encourage students actively collect and select varieties of materials and information,and question,explore and receive some information by themselves or with the help of companions;d,to enrich the applying of schema and improve the structure of recognitione,to improve the teaching of reading strategy.
