| This interview is chosen from Face to Face,a weekly interview program of CCTV and it mainly talks about the art and life path of Li Guyi in the context of the 40th anniversary of China’s reform and opening up.It is chosen based on the consideration that it can help overseas audiences to gain a better understanding of the development of Chinese music.And it is also helpful in exploring the impact of reform and opening up on the Chinese music world.Most importantly,it would help Chinese culture to go abroad and enhance the world ’s understanding of Chinese literature and artMain challenges in the interpreting practice include how to deal with musical terms,culture-loaded words,politics related words,incomplete sentences and sentences that seem to be loose in logic.In order to deal with these difficulties,the Interpretive Theory is chosen to guide the simulated practice.And here are some strategies that are adopted to cope with the difficulties under the guidance of the Interpretive Theory.Firstly,literal interpreting is adopted to interpret singing techniques,names of songs and culture-loaded words.Secondly,free interpreting is used to address the difficulties in interpreting lyrics,politics related words and culture-loaded words.Thirdly,supplementation is chosen to address incompleteness of sentences and culture-loaded words.Fourthly,omission is applied to deal with looseness of logic and culture-loaded words.Lastly,restructuring is used to address incompleteness of sentences and looseness of logic. |
