Research On The Protection And Development Of Traditional Villages Based On The Organic Renewal Theory

Traditional villages are the "living fossils" of rural history and culture,the cultural essence and spatial memory of the harmonious coexistence between man and nature,and the precious heritage of the Chinese nation and the whole mankind.With the acceleration of China’s urbanization process,some traditional villages are in disrepair,decline and apoptosis,cultural fault,loss of characteristics and other problems due to improper protection or overdevelopment.These problems not only threaten the inheritance of material and intangible cultural heritage,but also hinder the implementation of China’s rural revitalization strategy,especially the strategy of cultural revitalization.Therefore,how to make traditional villages stay and live,and how to realize the protection and development of traditional villages scientifically,is a theoretical and practical proposition that needs to be solved urgently.In this context,around the protection and development of traditional villages,organic renewal theory is given priority to,and some core concepts of heritage activation theory,weaving theory,symbiosis thought and image theory are absorbed to construct a "theoretical framework of organic renewal" of traditional villages.This framework not only fully respects the historical texture and inner spirit of traditional villages,but also fully considers the needs of social development and residents’ pursuit of a better life.It believes that the protection and development of traditional villages should be carried out in an orderly manner from the three subsystems of material carrier of maintaining the traditional style.The material carrier system is the most dominant component of traditional villages,which can be divided into three categories: traditional folk houses,important public buildings,and cultural landscape.The organic renewal of traditional folk houses should adopt the strategy of "internal and external differentiation",keeping the traditional form unchanged as far as possible on the outside and making reasonable adjustment on the inside to meet the residents’ demand for modern life.Important public buildings should be repaired and sorted out,and the protection scope should be delimited to ensure that the surrounding buildings are in harmony with their styles.The cultural landscape sketch should be updated synchronously with the traditional architecture,and more attention should be paid to the development and utilization of its cultural connotation.Thirdly,the organic renewal of the spatial pattern system should delimit the core area and retain the historical texture to the greatest extent.The spatial pattern system is the overall outline image and spatial texture of traditional villages,which can be divided into three subsystems:
