With the development of China's economy and the acceleration of globalization,China's Culture Going Global has become the crucial part of China's development.China's Culture Going Global is making remarkable achievements in multiple aspects such as foreign trade and cultural exchanges.China's international status is becoming prominent,and China's voice is gradually gaining attention.At the same time,we could not ignore the dilemma of China's Culture Going Global.For example,the international competitiveness of cultural products is weak,the concept of international communication is irrational,and there is a lack of the effect evaluation system.Overall,there is distance from the cultural powerful country.Film,as a cultural medium,becomes an important value carrier under globalization process,and it is a pivotal link and key grasp of Culture Going Global.In return,Culture Going Global has created a platform for the international spread of films.Culture Going Global and international communication of films complement each other,and jointly help to enhance the soft power of China.Therefore,from the perspective of Culture Going Global,through the interpretation of Chinese film cases and the empirical analysis of other countries,this paper would summarize the development of Chinese films international communication,and put forward countermeasures and suggestions for the international communication which has practical significance and research value.This paper is guided by the Marxist methodology and supported by relevant communication theory.The research methods of case study method,literature research and quantitative research are employed in this paper.On the one hand,through the case analysis,this paper would show the influence of Chinese movies in the international market from a micro perspective,interpret the strengths and dilemmas of Chinese movies,and explore the sources of weakness or success in the international communication of Chinese films.On the other hand,this paper would summarize the experience of foreingn countries,take the three perspectives as the basic framework,and propose practices worth learning from Chinese films.This paper concludes with countermeasures,synthesizes the previous discussion,and puts forward a series of suggestions to enhance the influence of Chinese film international communication.The international communication of Chinese films is still relatively weak,and the influence of communication is limited.The single type of films,the lack of Chinese film brands,and the unsatisfactory overseas box office all make Chinese films in a state of aphasia in the international market.Through the analysis of cases such as Crouching Tiger,Hidden Dragon,Great Wall,War Wolf 2 and the Wandering Earth,we can figure out some reasons.For now Chinese films has not realized Chinese story and international expressions,and not dug out Chinese cultural or common value;on the other hand,Chinese films pursue Westernization while wasting China's profound culture and dissolving the artistic charm of films.At the same time,it is difficult to decipher the phenomenon of cultural discounts.These reasons not only highlight the necessity and urgency of enhancing the influence of Chinese film,but also force film industry to innovate itself.In addition to China,foreign countries have also launched attempts to spread movies overseas and provided extensive experience.In terms of content creation,create movies with diverse themes,retain local characteristics while building the brand of films.In the terms of production,actively strengthen international cooperation,enhance the support of film professionals and technology,and explore international communication paths suitable for the country.In terms of the national top-level design,create a free film market,improve the film legal system and the management institutions,coordinate the relationship between the government and the market.Based on the practice of domestic and foreign films going global,this paper puts forward three levels of suggestions.First,build a Chinese brand on the content,tell Chinese-style stories,explore the cultural capital with local characteristics and global common value;develop series and IP films,and extend the film industrial chain;strengthen the application of technology,present a audio-visual feast beyond the reality.Secondly,implement the international perspective in production and distribution,form an international team,deepen international cooperation,research in-depth on the international market,innovate communication strategies,and focus on step-by-step promotion to the international market;enhance the ability and quality od the film practitioners,create a group of high-quality,international compound talents.At last,increase policy support in national top-level design,clarify the relationship between the government and market,enrich the participants in the film industry enhance the vitality of the film industry,and improve the laws and regulations;strengthen overseas promotion at the government level,consolidate the current film cooperation platform,set up a film overseas management department,coordinate domestic and foreign film resources,and provide assistance to Chinese film companies.
