At the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century, with the opening of China's door, the economic and cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries became increasingly frequent. In the long history of nearly 200 years, the violin art has been gradually developed and popularized in China, the violin education has made remarkable achievements, and the teaching theory has been increasingly perfect and mature. With a strong team of teachers,we have continuously explored the scientific and systematic violin education system, and trained a large number of excellent violin professionals for China. It is a necessary means to promote the sustainable development and prosperity of violin education in the new century to sort out and explore the development process and characteristics of Chinese violin education in each period.By consulting a large number of literature materials related to the development of Chinese violin art,the author extracts and sorts out the contents of the violin education, and divides the process of Chinese violin education into three periods of"incubation, exploration and development" through time stages.Among them, the brewing period(-1948)is divided into three stages:initial recognition and acceptance in the early 20th century, learning from the May 4th movement, and hardship and progress in the war.The exploration period(1949-1977)is divided into two stages:the development and progress during the founding of the People's Republic of China and the migration and expansion during the cultural revolution. The development period(1978-present)is divided into two stages:deepening and innovation during the reform and opening up,prosperity and prospect of the new century.Through the method of literature review and analysis, this paper sorts out, integrates and explores the development of educational institutions, teaching figures and theoretical textbooks in these three periods.
