In this thesis, six mode words covering“Qin Zi,Du Zi,An Zi,Jing Zi,Si Zi,Shan Zi”are selected as the object of study.Based on linguistic facts, from the perspective of diachronic and synchronic, the research method of combining description and interpretation, combining qualitative and quantitative,is studied in detail. The thesis is divided into five chapters, and the specific content is roughly as follows:The first chapter is the introduction, which mainly introduces the research object, research significance, research methods, theories based on the article and the corpus source. At the same time,it summarizes the research status of mode words and the research status of"X Zi"cases, including the academic community's discussion on the attribution of mode words, the study of internal cases of modal words, and the discussion of the ending of"Zi"and""Qin Zi"and"Si Zi"specific research. It is found that the research on"X Zi"type modal words is less and incomplete. The second chapter mainly analyzes the diachronic generation process and cause of the"X Zi"type modal words from the diachronic perspective."X Zi"type words are compound words in word formation, and they are lexicalized by"X+Zi".These words are composed of two separate real words in the process of degeneration and often in sentences Two-syllable way words formed side by side as adverbial. The dissertation starts with the grammaticalization of"self"and analyzes its grammaticalization process and its causes.Secondly,it analyzes the lexicalization process of six words based on the ancient Chinese corpus of Peking University and discusses its diachronic generation mechanism. It is concluded that the"X Zi"type modal words is mainly based on the reflexive pronoun"Zi"which plays an important role, due to the proximity of syntactic positions, approximate semantic usage, and people's"block"psychology Process. The third chapter analyzes the semantic characteristics of"X Zi"style modal words from the syntactic environment.By using Antconc's corpus retrieval statistical software to batch process modern Chinese corpora of"X Zi"type modal words, the characteristics of the subjects connected to the"X Zi"type modal words and the characteristics of the predicate verbs that they can modify are analyzed. The similarity and individuality of the semantic features of"X Zi"type modal words."X Zi"type modal words mainly appear in declarative sentences where the subject is human, and the semantics all refer to the agent subject. The personal relationship of the subject can be expressed as:third person>first person>second person?>indicates that the left side is in quantity More than right?.On the subject of connection, the internal members of the"X Zi"style modal words also have certain personality characteristics. As far as the modified predicate verbs are concerned, the predicate verbs associated with"Qin Zi","Si Zi","Shan Zi"and"Jing Zi"all have the semantic characteristics of[+dynamic];The predicate verbs associated with"Du Zi"and"An Zi"have the semantic characteristics of[±dynamic].As far as semantic features are concerned, the"X Zi"type words all have[+autonomy],and there is a continuum:"Shan Zi">"Si Zi">"Jing Zi">"Qin Zi">"Du Zi">"An Zi"?">"Means the word on the left[+autonomy]is greater than the word on the right?.In addition, each member has a unique personality. The fourth chapter discusses the significance of attitude evaluation of"X Zi"modal words in the meaning of interpersonal relations based on the attitu de evaluation in the appraisal theory.Among them,"Qin Zi"and"Jing Zi2"can obviously show the speaker's positive emotional evaluation and negative emoti onal evaluation when modifying the predicate verb;"Shan Zi"and"Si Zi"are mainly judgmental evaluations based on certain laws or morals, while implicit negative emotional evaluations;"Du Zi"and"An Zi"belong to implicit attitude evaluation resources, and the significance of their attitude evaluation often nee ds to be given by other explicit attitude evaluation resources in the text. The fifth chapter is the conclusion.Summarize the content of the previous article, and draw the main conclusions of this paper, pointing out the deficiencies of the article.
